Jordan is donating 250 armored vehicles, as well as training, to the Iraqi Civil Intervention Force. The Jordanians are training the Iraqi unit to operate as something of a super-SWAT organization, to deal with heavily armed anti-government forces. The Jordanians are supplying 50 Ukrainian made BTR-94 8x8 armored cars, 100 U.S. made M-113A1 armored personnel carriers and 100 British made Spartan tracked scout vehicles. The 16 ton BTR-94 comes with twin 23mm cannon. The eight ton Spartan and 11 ton M-113A1 usually just have machine-guns.
