The US Air Force is revising its war fighting strategy from the defense suppression concept it has followed for decades to a new concept in which the first attacks will be used to destroy enemy ballistic missiles and cruise missiles. The problem is that these weapons can be used to destroy the air bases and ports that the US needs to deploy and build up forces for a new regional conflict.--Stephen V Cole
