Efforts by Lockheed-Martin to sell more F-16s to Norway may have been disrupted by an article in a Norwegian magazine in which a senior Lockheed official appeared to threaten Norway with a virtual break in relations with the US if it bought Eurofighters instead of F-16s. The company insists that the interview was badly mistranslated, but admits that its bid is in serious trouble over the incident.--Stephen V Cole
