Russia is pushing hard to sell Malaysia the MiG-29M2 advanced fighter. Malaysia previously bought eighteen MiG-29Ns and eight F-18Ds, and reportedly is looking for 18 more advanced aircraft. The US is reportedly offering more F-18Ds (or maybe even F-18Fs) while the Europeans are considered to have only an outside chance.--Stephen V Cole
