: Ireland insists it will go ahead with the purchase of three S-92 helicopters from the US, despite threatened law suits from Eurocopter and EH Industries, which claim that the bidding was unfair. Among their charges: the US bidder was allowed to lower its bid twice, priced its aircraft in dollars (the bid rules called for Euros), and may have had access to data on other bidders.--Stephen V Cole
