America apparently has no problems with Austria's sale of 160 US-made M-60 tanks to Egypt. Valued at over $29.29 million (31 million Euros), this will be largest weapons sale in the history of the Austrian Army. The M-60s were replaced by more modern tanks when Austria purchased 115 former Royal Netherlands Army Leopard 2s in 1997. The United States Congress let the period for filing an objection to the sale expire without activity. - Adam Geibel
