Procurement: The Tyrants Friend

Archives

November 22, 2007: China has become the tyrants friend in Africa, eagerly providing weapons to nations that have been turned down by all other arms exporting nations. Zimbabwe has received inexpensive tanks and jet fighters from China, as well as large quantities of small arms and police equipment. Sudan has also bought tanks and fighters, as well as artillery and lots of small arms and ammo. China is mainly interested in making deals to obtain oil and other raw materials in Africa. To do that, China ignores how the people in charge run their countries, as long as they stay in charge and ship the goods, and pay for what they buy, on time. Strictly business.
