Indian police, checking phone numbers found on cell phones carried by some of the men killed while shooting up parliament, arrested several men who had assisted the attackers. These men had connections with Pakistani supported terrorist groups. This immediately created an uproar in parliament and among the public, calling for action against the terrorists (who demand that Pakistan be held responsible for the attack.) In Kashmir, several clashes left eight civilians, one soldier and nine rebels dead.
