Some 200 Islamic radical fighters are besieged near in the Iranian border in northern Iraq. The local PUK Kurdish fighters are trying to convince the Jund al-Islam radicals to give up their radicalism (which is easier to do with the fall of the Taliban in Afghanistan) . At least 60 have quit so far, but there are some real hard core radicals up there. The Iraqi government has little control up here and is staying out of this situation.
