Newspaper vendors halted distribution of the Ivory Coast's daily papers, as a protest against being harassed and beaten up by pro-government youths known as "young patriots". These young thugs want to stop to the sale of newspapers linked to opposition parties, or those perceived to support rebels who launched an uprising last year and triggered civil war. The venders are demanding additional security from the  government. - Adam Geibel
