China has announced plans for two stealthy advanced versions of the J10 fighter, these being a single-engine and twin-engine design. Both retain the J10's delta wing and canards, but both switch to twin outer-sloping tails. These two fighters are intended to go into mass production and replace the current force of low-cost J10As and expensive but superior Su-27SKs. --Stephen V Cole
