American troops in Kuwait are facing a daunting intelligence problem; their camps are overrun with spies. Although the Kuwaitis are very pro-American, most of the manual labor in oil-rich Kuwait is done by foreigners or, as they are known; TCNs (Third Country Nationals.) Most of these are Moslems from Pakistan, Yemen and Bangladesh. While most of these men (the vast majority are men) are there just to earn more money than they could back home, a few percent are attracted to radical Islam and every week some are caught spying. The Kuwait government interrogates the spies, but generally just sends them back home. What worries American security officers are the number who aren't caught. The American bases are well guarded, with all TCNs and trucks entering (with supplies or to work) are checked for weapons and bombs. The hostile TCNs have apparently realized that putting a bomb into the camps is nearly impossible and they apparently have not even tried. But they probably do know a lot about how the camps are laid out and how the security works. So, once an invasion of Iraq begins, the Islamic radicals could make their move. They have already managed to scout out their targets.
