: The Army is expressing concern that the "best and brightest" of the senior captains are leaving uniform in droves. These are the officers who are given selected opportunities and training in order to grow them into the next generation of generals. Surveys of departing captains list the expected reasons for their decision to leave: too much mandatory diversity training, not enough training for war, and micromanagement from bosses who are concerned only with making sure nothing goes wrong to spoil their own chances for career advancement.--Stephen V Cole
