@ A succession struggle following the death of Saudi King Fahd could plunge the entire Middle East into chaos and war.

@ Colombia is a problem waiting to happen. The government may be overwhelmed by the FARC rebels and Venezuela could come under pressure.

@ While less likely, a nuclear duel between India and Pakistan could leave 100 million dead.

@ Attempts by Kosovo to become independent could plunge the Balkans into war.

@ Other crises could erupt in the expected areas: Chechnya, Persian Gulf, Korea, Taiwan.--Stephen V Cole
