Iraq says it has resumed commercial air flights with Syria, but allied warplanes that patrol Iraqi skies are not so sure. In any event, the increasing number of passenger and transport flights over Iraq are in violation of UN sanctions and are putting the no-fly zones in danger. If Iraq can fly commercial aircraft freely, the Iraqis will have yet another way to smuggle war materials into the country.
