Canada has pulled out of the IRIS-T program, which will eventually produce a new heat-seeking air-to-air missile. The Canadians said it would cost too much to integrate the missile with its F-18 fighters and that delays in software for the fighters would delay full use of the missile until 2010.--Stephen V Cole
