Chinese Wheeled Tank Destroyer

Discussion Board on this DLS topic

China is building a wheeled tank destroyer based on its Type-90 Infantry Fighting Vehicle. This vehicle looks like a lighter (12.5 tons) version of the twenty ton U.S. Stryker. The Chinese tank destroyer will use their 105mm gun, and ammo similar to that used in NATO standard 105mm tank guns, and the vehicle is similar to wheeled tank destroyers found in some European nations. The Chinese tank destroyer weighs 19 tons, has a four man crew, carries 30 rounds of ammo, and will also be armed with a 7.62mm and a 12.7mm machine-gun. China plans to use these vehicles with its new Light Mechanized Infantry Divisions, which are similar to the American Stryker brigades, only on a divisional scale. This new type division would be highly mobile, but would not consume as much fuel as a unit using heavier tanks.
