Morale: The Chinese Army Olympics

Archives

July 18, 2010:  The Chinese Army recently conducted a massive military competition, in which 2110 soldiers participated in 78 combat and non-combat events. These range from handing infantry weapons to artillery and tanks. Combat engineers, vehicle repair and Cyber War events are also featured. In effect, no matter what your job, most soldiers have an event they can compete in. Preliminary competitions were already held throughout the army. The winners in the month long finals see their promotion prospects increase considerably, and have bragging rights, for a year, when it comes to who is best.
