Final Approach

An E-2C (Hawkeye) from Airborne Early Warning Squadron One Two One (VAW-121) makes its final approach to the flight deck of the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) on April 17, 1996. The Hawkeye had just returned from flying a mission over Kuwait and southern Iraq in support of Operation Southern Watch. The USS George Washington is currently deployed to the Arabian Sea.
