Posted 7/16/2006Pacific Ocean (July 13, 2006) - An E-2C Hawkeye assigned to the "Wallbangers" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron One One Seven (VAW-117) approaches the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) just prior to making an arrested landing. Stennis is currently underway conducting carrier qualifications off the coast of Southern California.
