Subject: IDF Osprey

I am against the the Marine Corps purchase of the Osprey. I believe there are better alternatives for the cost however maybe the IDF sees something I don't. On the other hand they are looking at for a Special Forces work which I believe it is best suited for, just not the Marine Corps.

Ya I saw that, I agree that for SOF work, the V-22 is a very appealing option. I am yet to be convinced about the MV-22 though, but the decision to build the LHA(R) without a well deck does somewhat improve my perception of the MV-22. While the technology itself doesn't impress me from a Marine Corp evaluation perspective, the capability improvements over helicopter options does have potential. I'll reserve judgement based on operational performance though.
