Encourage shooting in high schools and colleges. Make coaches, match target
rifles, ammo, ranges even military ranges available..Shooters make good soldiers
and it would be much cheaper than the current over-priced system..
Also encourage participation in shooting clinics like at Camp Perry, Ohio..Every
year the US Army Marksmanship Unit puts-on a 2-day clinic for competitive shooters. ..Requirements --#1 Us citizen,#2 12 years old. You shoot an M16-A2
with proper target shooting equipment and under the direct guidance of one of the US military's competitive rifle team members..S[ponsor more events like this
make it popular do not stigmatize riflery....Infantry is the queen of battle.
barve rifles etc.....

The problem is not to recruit people - conscription has done that over and over again - it is recruiting the right people - and keeping the bad eggs out.
