Well, I do have to give Karl R. Maier credit: his suggestion that we bomb Iran's oil infrastructure is creative and bold.
It's also politically unviable and economically self-destructive. Not only would it ruin our economy for at least a decade by creating an oil price shock (similar to the 70's oil embargo), but the economies of every other industrialized power in the world, creating a worldwide economic collapse. His argument is essentially, that it will kill Iran worse than it will kill everyone else.
There are better ways to deal with Iran (and even those lack the political support needed to make them successful).
