The Chinese are determined, and will eventually learn how to make their own high quality engines.  They have acquired huge amounts of new technologies and manufacturing techniques (for dual use items) as a fee of sorts for getting access to their markets.
 
That fee has been happily paid by short-sighted nations (including the USA) who turn these technologies (and manufacturing operations) over to the Chinese in return for short-term gains.  This nation is fueling China's growth, military build-up, and aggressive behavior.   
 
BUY AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS.

Oooh, reeeeaaaally?
 
Please immediately tell this to NASA! They are using 20-year-old-design russian engines RD-180 for Atlas V!.
It seemed that "superior Western companies"  like ULA (Lokhid) can't make anything better or they were looking for something really safe and reliable.
 
 
Those  corporate-payed writers ..Or worse: dabbler.

The author doesn't have a clue about how things done. It's all about proper management, not "capitalism" neither "socialism", etc. It's also doesn't have a clue about engines: soviet AL-31, which China can't reproduce is about the same level of one used in F-15 (they are direct competitors).
