Are the North Koreans still holding onto Korean War-era United Nations soldiers? Did the Chinese incarcerate and then do away with Korean War-era UN soldiers? Did the Soviets take possession of substantial numbers of Korean War-era UN soldiers, incarcerate them, execute the majority of them and carry out 'tests' on some of them?
What do you guys make of the testimonies that form part of the US-Russian Joint Commission Reports on Prisoners of War/Missing in Action?
"October 4, 2004 - SEOUL, Korea (South) -- A 76-year-old South Korean former soldier has escaped from North Korea after being held for more than half a century as a prisoner of war, the Yonhap news agency reported Sunday."
Do you think if the DPRK regime fell apart tomorrow and the South Koreans and Chinese went into North Korea to stabilise the country, that they'd find a number of Korean-War UN (american/british) soldiers?
Also, are there any well-researched books (anything online as well) on Korean-War UN soldiers that were held prisoner by the Chinese/North Koreans/Soviets after the cessation of hostilites on the peninsula in 1953, and never made it home? |
