Allegedly, during the first Gulf War, the exchange rate for MREs was 3 American MREs for 1 French MRE.

Still remember 1944 C-rations in 1980, (at camp red cloud) being sent to Yongsan for evaluation. Coming back as "crackers are disintegrating but still fit for human consumption"

Johnny - confirmed!  Wine (!) and butter in the French meals.  Also, the German meals were much sought after for the sheer volume of food in one meal!
