OK, Terminator-ish designation aside, looks like a very well put together AFV. On YouTube(in english): ht*p://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLnjfYKhcU4 For those of you who only rarely visit the Tank-Net forums: ht*p://63.99.108.76/forums/index.php?showtopic=24083 Not a lot of stuff around the Web yet about it (as of Friday, Feb 15, 2008), it's fairly hot-off-the-press. There are a few more vids on YouTube and elsewhere for those of you whose Japanese is up to snuff. Very nice: -Modular composite armor, almost akin to the Merkava 4. -120mm L44 with potential to upgrade to longer barrels (throw in a PGM like the US MRM and we have a winner!) -Retains the variable suspension that Japan seems to favor, which could offer the ability to pitch a PGM even farther than the US anticipates with the 12km quote for MRM, not to mention an improved side slope ability, and better hull down performance on reverse slopes and other odd battlefield angles. -Very impressive computing power inside (Japan's Type 90 was the first tank in the world with an automatic dual target tracker, so don't expect this beast to be any slacker in that department). And all networkable, too!
