Russian T90 vs American M1A2 Abrams - Which is better? If these tanks fought in battle, which would suffer more casualties, which one is superior? What are their advantages? Any information would be helpful.

Wonder about some things said here:

Notice the RAMP?

Wait, are you suggesting that the stryker has no door on the back?

I did not say there was no door or no padlock

assuming that a door was to be secured, it would be done from the inside

assuming that a door was to be secured, it would be done from the inside

ie, on the basis that if you want to stop somebody from opening the door and fragging the crew, you would secure it from the inside.

securing it from the outside means that the only way out is up and over - and that's just not good practice - esp somewhere hot

so the rhetorical question  is, can the rear door be secured from inside....

There's no where to pad lock it on the inside as well. The story is complete bullshit.

what cal is that sitting in the middle?

I worked on a recoil management prog a few years back - IIRC the recoil on a TD120 was in the order of 15 tonnes - I wouldn't have thought that the stryker would not have been able to take much more than 85mm with its existing suspension....

out of curiosity (having never seen the arse end of a stryker) how is the door secured?  I assume that there are side latches out of view?

WHY is that padlock (plainly visible) hanging there to the left of the door in the ramp (plainly visible) off what looks like a lever (plainly visible)?

It's a 120mm BN mortar. The door is secured with a latch similar to what is on a connex.

1. That "lever" is just a handle bar. ho knows why the pad lock is on there. We use pad locks for everything. But there is NO place to pad the lock the door.

so is that a vanilla vehicle:?

its admittedly a while ago when I looked at the TD120 data, but at the time the stryker was regarded as something that could not have behaved happily with warfighting cycles if a 120mm had been loaded into it/

The Strykers are modular so you have many variants. Sorta like the old track.
