The problem with your proposals is that these systems are not very accurate, probably +/- 5º to 10º, but just knowing the area to look in is a huge advantage. Many remote weapon stations already include the capability to laser designation, so that is covered. Deliberately lasing an eye out would be illegal under international arms treaties, but it might actually be better just to use either a bright flash to cause temporary blindness, just in case that is some kid looking over the wall and not the sniper.
