Who thinks this tech will last beyond the first handheld direction finding system which can detect the snipers video transmisions? The only people who will be vunerable to snipers using this tech are civies and poor (money) soldiers.

However once the DF systems are in use extensivly you can then dispense with the guy with the rifle and just put radios on all the roof tops. Nobody will move down below for fear of attack.

I think this tech will go the same way as any blue force tracker which may be corrupted and become colour blind.
