Hi, Everyone. Field of Strategy 2 is freeware. It operates at four levels - tactical and divisional battles and operational and strategic campaigns. So far(more stuff is always in the works)the historical eras represented include Napoleonic(all four levels), World War II(all four levels), medieval(tactical battles), 18th century(tactical battles)and modern(divisional battles and a strategic campaign). The download package includes map and army/scenario editors. One small caveat: The graphics won't win any awards, but IMO they get the job done well enough. To find this little gem go to Yahoo! Search and in the dialog box type in "field of strategy game"(no uppercase needed). The first search results page should then show a link to FOS2 and the TPGames start page. Click on this link and you will be taken to this start page where you will see the download link you need. On this page you will also see a link to the FOS2 forums in English and French(the FOS2 creator and forums moderator is French). After you try out the game you can sign up for the English forums where you can maybe keep me some company. Although a lot of people have been signing up for the FOS2 forums in the past several weeks it appears that they are all going to the French forums, which is not surprising considering that FOS2 has gotten very little previous publicity outside France.
