With the Joint Heavy Lift research projects being fully funded for FY 2006, there are going to be several interesting designs. Ranging from modern airship designs (balloon style and lighter than air vessels) to Quad tilt lift rotor designs, the Joint Heavy Lift project is going to provide an entirely new capability to military logistical airframes.

Given that congress wants one solution for all services, the designs should be very interesting.
