Just wanted to say that birdstrikes are a lot more common in the service than reports indicate.
 
Problem is among other things the USAF has a ton of paperwork that pilots are required to do every time they mention any type of birdstike.
 
So the vast majority of the time, pilots won't report nose, wing, etc strikes as long as they didn't hit the engines or canopy.
