In the Mid 80's was resurected after Grenada and some Intel failures during that op. By 1989 (Just Cause) the program was back, there was some talk of some prototypes during that op being used but I honestly can't remember where the article is written.

 

Yes, some limited use in 1989, but nothing earth shattering -- was realy POST GW1 when the programs went into full speed

A Book by Lt Col Richard M Clark has the whole history of the UAV including the BS in the late 70's with the Cater Kids in charge. I don't remember the title, but is packed with details
