I would say Russia will be back, if not yet. They are investing massive amounts of money from oil revenues in their military and they certainly don't want to be left out of world affairs.

 

Russia was a superpower and want to be again, i wouldn't be surprised if they achieve that goal. My worry is the tension that's building between east and west again fuelled by the missile sheild the US is planning, the last thing the world needs is a new cold war or renewed arms race.
