I ran across a blog recently here link which mentioned a US sub sinking a North Korean freighter this past spring approx 150nm SE of an Iran naval base. Has there been any discussion of this here? Please point me in the right direction.

No, there hasn't.  I suggest that's probably because it never happened.

Sort a leaning in that direction myself.  Blogs as news can get downright full of crap when the blogger has an axe to grind.  Thought it might be worth checking into though.
Is Irancourier from the old .mil discussion boards still around?  He was always harping on the Vincennes shoot down way back when?  I can't imagine he would let this one go by.   I've been a bit out of touch the few years, still am.  Outer Mongolia gets closer  to the rest of the world everyday though.  Be damned, if I can find a copy of harpoon out here, although there are plenty of computers with old os's which could run it,  and my copy  is tucked away in a storage unit back in Maine.  I'm jonesing big time.
