Does it seem possible to create a VTOL sniper UAV? This would have a weapons system consisting of telescopic tracking and sighting optics (including IR capabilities), and a highly stabilized, turreted .50 (or 20mm) sniper rifle that could conduct sniper operations from say 1000-5000ft? I would envision this mounted on something in the OH-6/Little Bird helicopter class.

Or does idea of a visible aerial sniper helicopter as opposed to a hidden ground sniper make no sense even if the helicoper sniper is technically feasible - in other words stick with machine guns on aircraft instead of attempting a single shot precision aerial sniper?
