Just recently picked up on this one. ( http://www.defense-aerospace.com/articles-view/release/3/115827/scorpion-laser_guided-munition-passes-seeker-test.html ) Hopefully, Lockheed Martin got it right and this lil' critter works as advertised: 3 packed onto the same rail of a single Hellfire... ( http://www.lockheedmartin.com/products/scorpion/index.html ) And another new one on me, never heard of this BattleAxe warhead until now, either. ( http://www.wpafb.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123209412 ) One of the first reactive materials warheads we've seen entering service on a production weapon (or at least, near-enough production ready). Certainly seems like a lot of potential in his little guy (UAVs, helicopters, etc...). Could be quite useful against vehicle convoys, small attack boat flotillas, staging areas,... And three in place of 1 Hellfire. Hopefully, it isn't 3 times the cost though.
