Which versions of the Hellfire does Israel use to take out Hamas guys? And does anyone know how much such things cost? (Amazon.com doesn't list the price ;)

i'm israeli and i heard the air force stopped using hellfires against terrorists.. and lately started using a version of the Spike anti-tank missile... which costs less and israeli-made. i'm not 100% sure it's true through..

There were some TV images of a car partialy destroyed by Israeli´s helicopters. The image shows a direct hit at the engine compartment, but the rest of the vehicle was nearly entire. Ifit was partialy destroyed I may supose it was not hit by a Hellfire. Aren´t they using laser guided 70mm rockets?

It was probably the ER-spike missile with man in the loop imaging IR guidance. I dont think they are using laser guided rockets for such a mission. In fact,I dont think they have ones at all. A car can get hit by an hellfire and wont get totaled: the hellfire's HEAT warhead is designed to penetrate a thick armor over a very small area , its not an explosive/fragmantation type warhead, the energy of the explosives is directed into a very narrow "beam".

the fact u still get to see the car and not parts of it all around the street is because israel tries to hit only the passangers .. most of the times it works

As far as I know, they are using TOWs not Hellfire to kill hamas leaders and anybody else that derserves to get toasted. The warhead in hellfire is much to large to leave anything that resembles a car after impact. TOW on the other hand is a much smaller payload/charge and will leave most of the car there afterward. The secrit to finding which missile was used, is to look at the launch film. TOW has two exhausts, one on either side, while Hellfire has only one out the back. All of the film I have seen shows two plumes. In addition, TOW is very cheap, at less than $10,000 a pop. AND, they are made everywere.

It is much more likely they are using the MAPATZ its an israeli missile based on the TOW: it has the same body and engine but it uses an advanced semi active laser seeker .From behind it looks just like the TOW .It is much more likely that they are using the long range version of the SPIKE missile.
