Keep pushing a civilized people closer to the edge....
What causes a civilized people to say NO MORE?
The American military defines "total war" as "A war that is unrestricted in terms of the weapons used, the territory or combatants involved, or the objectives pursued, especially one in which the laws of war are disregarded."
The Palestinians might try to put Sarin in their Hezzie GRADs to produce Israeli mass casualties and terror, now that they've seen that conventional rocket bombardment is ineffective. That would be the kind of unacceptable limit that causes the inevitable Israeli response.
Not genocide, but forced Pali EXPULSION and a diaspora. That would scatter the sociopathy which is the Palestinian people and dump a huge flock of defeated terrorists among the surrounding Arab populations. Why do you think the current sitting Arab governments want no more Palestinians dumped on THEM? Arab on Arab is bad enough without a new flock of crazies to burden already unstable corrupt totalitarian regimes.
I suppose someday, those people (the so called Palestinians) and the Arab frontline states' populations will discover, that somehow if Israel were to magically disappear and the Americans were gone too, that they still have the same ineffective economies, the same inefficient superstition driven socially backward political systems, the same corruption that is endemic to Islamic peoples across the board and the same intramural tribalism and hatreds that plagued them for 4000+ years?
It's a SMALL planet with
a lot of different civilized peoples getting tired of always finding it is Islam which is the root cause of some damned insurgency
, whether it is inside China (East Asia), the Americas, or Europe or Africa.
Wars of religion tend to be TOTAL WARS when
they get totally out of hand.
Just saying..
.a little prudence might be in order here?
Nobody practices Aztec religion anymore.
There was/is a moral reason for that
.
And we civilized peoples know
where the HEART of all the current agitation is.

Rational arguments work on rational people at rational times.
If you defend (verbally) some cause in certain circles, it will automatically render you 'evil' and make you an outcast. Even more if you make some valid points. Latest Gaza war was one of those causes. Intention of defending Israeli side makes you 'evil' ('How could you even think about it, in the first place ?'). Using logic, common sense, and having success with that makes you only even more 'evil'. This is just one example.
This is only one of many examples. There was another such period in human history. It is known as 'Middle Ages'. 'Credo quia absurdum' sounds appropriate today.
You can see the reflection of it in popular culture. Successful TV shows are about idiots who behave erratically ('Lost', for example).
