Subject: Should the US withdraw from NATO over arms sales to China?
Massive    3/7/2005 6:41:06 AM
Given Germany and France's willingness to sell arms to a communist regime in China that may well be used against the US, their NATO ally, in any conflict over Taiwan, does this alliance any longer offer anything to the US?

Is it time for the US to reduce its North Atlantic commitment and move to a more South Atlantic, Indian and most importantly Pacific ocean orientation?

I admit that as an Australian there is a hint of an ulterior motive here but, given that we are one of the countries facing a potentially worsening security situation due to German and French insanity ce le vie.
