Subject: History Question: The Ardennes
PaulG    6/20/2004 3:50:14 AM
I'm not sure if this is the right topic, but I can't find a History topic and the Battle of the Bulge took place between nations that are now in N.A.T.O.

Can anyone recommend the best book on the Battle of the Bulge? Thanks for any advice!

There is an excellent book titled (appropriately enough) "Battle of the Bulge." I can't find it on Google, so I'm not sure who wrote it, but it's the best I've ever read. I'd also suggest "Citizen Soldiers," by Stephen Ambrose and "Company Commander" by James McDonald. They tell the story mostly from the American POV, but they're a good starting point.
