Just received my copy of The Submarine Review today.

One of the articles is about the capability of the Atutes.

Ret'd Ruddian Navy Naval Architect Dr George Sviatov ranks them as the best architectural designed sub in the world. He rates Astute and Virginia ahead of the Akula (which he spells ACULA)

Ruddia Svaitov = a Russian?
 
I believe our "Akula" is their SSN, while their Acula is our "Typhoon" respectively.

Yeah the Ruddian was a typo - I suffered from displaced key syndrome and double tapped the D instead of the S.
