Wow, the mis-guided "war on drugs" (when has prohibition - alcohol, prostitution, etc ever worked?!?) has provided the incentive for innovation that scares the crap out of me.

The recent SEAL movie revealed how smugglers could be exploited by terrorists.

Clearly the strategy of attacking supply whilst doing nothing of any consequence to quell demand is having unforseen consequences.  And aggressive attacks on the drug cartels may only make them more willing, or even eager to cooperate to those who would do us harm.

naval battle is not my favorite topic, but i would like to put the question: If I am right anti-submarine warfare in coastal waters gets more attention in last 20 years, specially in USN, so what are real chances to fight (in the meaning to sunk) these submarines?

I ask becouse I think that casualties between crews (which always must have some skill to operate sub, this job cant be done by anyone) may in several ways (like affecting iscourage of crews) limit thes sub-smuggling ops.

HeavyD: I agree with you, that aggresive attack with no or limited strategy is not a solution, byt i guess that /unfortunetly/ some kind of violence is necessery
