Think youth more than race.  It's a generational thing.  The template the Dems are hoping for is Franklin "the peace candidate" Roosevelt.  It is possible.  The next state legislative races will decide who draws the maps for congressional districts.  Obama will, I think, play it down the middle until then.  Or longer.
