4th generation warfare is probably more complex in terms of psychological, social, political, religious, and even local cultural issues that a commander might faced (at Brigade and Battalion level). One way to learn to fight against non-state elements is to learn from current stories or scenarios experienced by the current leaders.
Does anyone have any good stories they have experienced or scenarios they can think of that they would like to share?
I am helping in a project to gather such scenarios so that we can use them to train future commanders.
