"The army has moved more troops into central Nigeria (especially around Jos) and announced that there will be raids on Boko Haram hideouts. There has been a lot of ethnic violence (between Moslem and Christian tribes) in Jos, but now Boko Haram has moved in to side with the Moslem Fulani tribesmen."
This writing style is like hearing fingernails scratched on the surface of a classroom chalkboard.  The author of this article should take a writing course at a junior college.   May I suggest "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White, as a good starter.   I have also mentioned the "New York Times Manual of Style and Usage" in my previous complaints.

I find it interesting that Boko Haram has made some kind of alliance with the Fulani. Traditionally, the Fulani have had plenty of hardliners among them. Usaman dan Fodio (one of many spellings I've encountered for this name) led a jihad against the Hausa in the 19th century because like many African Muslims, they syncretized Islamic and indigenous African religion. So there has been a conservative, purist, element within Islamic Fulani society. Quite a web site, by the way. Glad I found it. Curious why you use the antiquated term Moslem rather than Muslim. Beyond that, great set of articles. I've breezed through a few.
