| It had me a bit puzzled that they were able to do all of this with only a few extra divisions. It's taken me a while to realize they're utilizing their original forces there now.
It's still not enough though, especially considering the resentment they're fostering in the area over the long term.
The current application of a significant fraction of the Pakistani army leaves me wondering if they have the capability to deal the entiriety of Taliban and allies a major defeat, rather than merely a large fraction of it.
They'll probably leave some of the ones welshing the fight alone though, even if they win strongly and beat the others into submission for a good while. So the problem will very likely be back in a few years or more unless the USA and coalition is allowed to help. |
