Subject: F-35 vs SU30 vs Rafale---F-22 vs SU30 vs Rafale
Herc the Merc    4/19/2005 3:28:12 PM
Assume electronics & missiles capabilities are the same-loadouts per plane specs though. 1 on 1 who would win, how many times in 10 engagements. Also Will a 2 to 1 superority give advantage to say the SU-30 over the F-series. Until the SU-35 this pretty much will be the balance of airpower.

french stratege    end of naval issues?   5/7/2005 5:05:12 PM
Cdg will reach a point about 21 deg longitude and 37 latitude at most prior offensive along Greece peloponesia. Then Corsica is at 1250 km form Cdg so easy support from French FAF CAP with M2000 with a single C135 for 8 M2000 C or even using SuperEtendard to refuel them. Then Cairo area is also 1250 km away from Cdg allowing use of Rafale spearhead for offensive.F16 raid departure will be detected immediately by OTH or HUMINT and we could so reinforce with M2000 in CAP south of italy before F16 arrive on zone.So we could put 24 Rafale in air plus E2C and reinforce by 24 M2000 from Corsica (8 already on CAP near CdG plus 12 on CAP south of Italy). ENd of naval issues I hope either ASW or air strike!!!

Son ? never mind ... Rafale out manoeuver anything in the sky he has been up against so far . That include all "old" F- series , as well as Gripen , Typhoon and M2000 . The result of a dogfight ~cannon only~ between Raptor and Rafale is NOT that clear . As I said , I believe Raptor to be SLIGHLY better at dogfighting . Cheers .

Landing of first waves would need 50 transport ship most ro-ro and ferries(including 4 amphibious dedicated ships, 1 LPH and 5 small LSL) and 7/6 oilers for 10 days of supply. Then transports come back and retake supplementary supplies.

A friend of mine ~M2000-5 Pilot at Dijon-Longvic Airbase~ told me the other day on the phone : "If you roll and turn quicker than the other , you dominate . Long turning dogfights are a thing of the past , today with the Deltas you turn sharp and you accelerate , they cannot follow . Do that 3 times and you end-up in their six !" That resumes a lot of things ... Cheers .
