And more often than not they dont fight anything. So its hard to grasp things that arent glamorized in Hollywood. Things such as Avionics, Systems of platforms operating in concert design history ect. But the pilots know it. Mostly. The ones who dont, or the dictators who get suckered into pouring their defense budgets into these black holes find out when their pretty aircraft end up as holes in the ground via some modernized 30 year old USAF/USN jet. But again we must remeber the context of this discussion. We are comparing a technology demonstrator against an operational(Dec 2005) killer stealth plane. Go figure.

Just because you don't see the F-22 making fancy loops and such doesn't make it less maneuvrable. You do however, see the F-22 reach huge speeds with ease, which is vital in a dog fight. The F-22 is lightning fast, accelerates with ease after turning in flight and through all this remains invisible to it's enemies thanks to a tiny RCS. The SU-37 will (if it ever goes operational) be completely unable to match this. The F-22 vs. the SU-37? It will be a slaughter!

Just a note. Someone said the SU-37 "Is huge...whick doesn't help the RCS..." Actually, RCS has nothing to do with size. The B-2 is far larger than the F-117 but is has a MUCH smaller RCS...just FYI

The F-22 is designed not to ever have to get into a dog fight. It cruises supersonic at high altitude and picks off the bad guys from afar without them everknowing you were there until your wing man blows up beside you. If it ever does have to get into a dog fight, the trust vectoring and SA are integrated into the avionics in such a way as to give you max control. All surfaces can engage automatically to achieve your move. I have a slick F-22 Cobra move video. Where do you post them?

"never been tested in combat face to face the statement:F-22 clearly superior to the SU-37! is unreasonable. you could speculate though." speculate on what? a russian aircraft that never went beyond the test platform stage and was abandoned as opposed to an aircraft that now fills 3 squadrons and is now certified for combat? a russian aircraft that was based on gen 4 platform dynamics as opposed to a platform that was new build? a russian platform that even in the best of biggles assessment lacked integration into other force multipliers as opposed to an aircraft that is networked and able to talk to basically anything (even if you just use Link 16 as the basic benchmark of communication capability) The Su-37 was and is a DNS let alone a DNF. You don't have to be too bright to work out which one is better.

the su 37 is based on su 27, there are many variants of sukhoi on that platform , look if a platform is good enough to make an airplane that is gonna kick f22's ass it doesn't mean it has to be renewed instantly because the americans did. shortly what you 've just said is your own imagination.
